SELECTION OF VENEER LOGS
The logs are selected by Sipwood’s specialized staff, following strict quality criteria. These logs are processed in factories very close to the forest to preserve their quality, color, and freshness.

VENEER MANUFACTURING
Veneer manufacturing is a complex process where every step is crucial to the final result.
- Debarking of the veneer log. Sawn on the correct planes to achieve optimal veneer log design and performance
- Planning of the veneer flitches for good grip and minimal waste.
- The cooking curve of veneer logs to achieve a smooth cut and perfect color
- The multiple sharpening angles of the blades are crucial for obtaining a smooth cut.
- The way the veneer log is cut determines the resulting pattern.
- Drying with stretch nets to achieve a flat veneer and optimal moisture content.
- Clipping or final preparation of the veneer for sale.
